Pain first, always
Acute pain is treated the day the person walks in, whether or not funding has arrived yet. We find the money afterwards.
Clinic/Donate
The Kaveri Smile Fund is the charitable arm of our practice. It pays for fillings, root canals, dentures and surgery for people across Bengaluru who come to us in pain and cannot afford the treatment. We absorb the clinic's overheads, so your donation is spent on care, nothing else.
80G receipts are issued by email within two working days. Donations above ₹2,000 need your PAN on the form.
Every gift is earmarked for treatment. If you would rather fund something specific — a school camp, a set of dentures for an elderly patient, one child's full course of care — say so in the message box and we will report back on where it went.
These are our own published rates, not a fundraising estimate. When you give ₹7,500, that is a molar root canal for one person — done in-house, in a single visit, with the follow-up call included.
| Gift (₹) | What it funds |
|---|---|
| 500 – 1,800 | One composite fillingFor a daily-wage worker who has been putting off a cavity for months. |
| 1,500 – 2,800 | Cleaning, X-rays and a check-upUsually the first dental visit in years for the people we help. |
| 3,000 – 6,000 | A child's course of carePulpectomy, stainless steel crown and fluoride for one school child. |
| 6,500 – 9,800 | A root canalFront tooth or molar, single visit, saves the tooth from extraction. |
| 9,000 – 14,000 | A zirconia crownMilled in the clinic, fitted the same day, back to eating normally. |
| 28,000 – 45,000 | An implant with its crownFor someone who lost a front tooth and cannot face people at work. |
| 12,000 – 38,000 | A complete dentureThe most common gift for elderly patients referred by nearby clinics. |
| 45,000 | A full school campScreening, sealants and fillings for about 60 children, with follow-ups. |
Rates match the clinic's published price list on the treatments page. Any surplus from a gift stays in the fund for the next patient; nothing is converted into profit.
Acute pain is treated the day the person walks in, whether or not funding has arrived yet. We find the money afterwards.
Care is offered on a referral from our own clinical team, a nearby government clinic, or a school. We check income before committing the fund.
Every donor gets the case, the treatment and the cost. If you gave for something specific, you will get a photograph-free note about how it went.
There is no committee to chase and no application form for a patient to fill in. The dentist treating the person makes the case, and the fund's two trustees approve it the same day.
Usually at the end of a consultation: the treatment is needed, the person cannot pay for it, and delaying it makes the problem worse.
Income, household size, existing health cover and whether another scheme — Ayushman Bharat, a corporate plan, an employer tie-up — can pay instead. Cheaper options are tried first.
We do not hold up pain relief while paperwork moves. The fund is reimbursed internally once the trustees sign it off.
An email with the case, the treatment given and the amount spent, along with the quarterly one-page summary of the whole fund.
If yours is not here, the fund is looked after by the same front desk that answers the clinic phone, from 9 am to 8 pm every day.
Call 080 4718 2200Yes. The Kaveri Smile Fund holds 80G registration (AAATK1234F/80G/2023-24), so gifts qualify for deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Send the form with your PAN and we email the receipt within two working days. For gifts above ₹2,000, Indian rules require the PAN on the receipt, so the form asks for it.
A dentist who has examined the patient makes the case, and the front desk checks income, household size and whether any insurance or government scheme can pay instead. Anything above ₹25,000 needs both trustees to sign. We prioritise acute pain first, then children, then older patients with no teeth left to chew with. Nobody is asked to fill in a form or provide documents for emergency pain relief.
No. Rent, salaries, sterilisation, electricity and equipment are paid for by the practice as a trading cost. Donations cover direct treatment, the logistics of running camps (transport, portable chairs, single-use kits), lab work for crowns and dentures, and about 2% in payment processing fees. The audited summary is available to any donor on request.
All three. UPI and bank transfer details are on this page and on every receipt. Cheques should be crossed and drawn in favour of “Kaveri Smile Fund”. Cash is accepted at reception, but for 80G purposes cash gifts above ₹2,000 do not qualify, so we will ask you to switch to a transfer instead.
Yes. Choose “Monthly” on the form and we set up a standing instruction or a UPI autopay mandate, whichever you prefer. One email to smilefund@kaveridental.in cancels it, effective from the next cycle — no notice period and no retention call. You get a single consolidated 80G receipt for the financial year.
No. Your name, email, phone and PAN are used only to process the gift, issue the receipt and send the quarterly report. We do not sell, rent or share donor data, and we will not add you to a marketing list. Ask us to delete your details at any time and we will, keeping only what tax law requires.
Give once or monthly, whichever suits you. Every gift is converted into treatment within thirty days, and you will be told which case it covered.
